Pros:I work for the police depetrmant where I live and can tell you that hands down, they LOVE military folks from a starting out point of view, i would choose military service over college degrees simply b/c the atmosphere is completely different. While college is great for long term, detective , type work the military lifestyle is more similar to what you might find when just starting out in most police depts hope that helps shed some light on that for ya .
